Funny Dogs Typing is an online typing practice site built for focused drills: words, sentences, pangrams, and a structured course — plus learning articles about typing history and improvement. Our words, sentences, and course material were expert curated for the best training results.

Membership tiers — what you get

Everyone can practice all four modes. The difference is whether your history is saved, how word drills adapt to you, and whether you can export your data.

Stats & graphs (Free & Premium members)

Members open Stats in the navbar to review progress. Free members get category overview cards (session count, time, average WPM, accuracy, and a recent-WPM sparkline) plus daily charts for time, WPM, and accuracy by category. Premium members also get:

• Daily WPM charts for words, sentences, pangrams, and course (with a 60 WPM guide line)
• Daily practice-time charts so you can see streaks and minutes on task
• Daily accuracy trend
• Highlights: best line, last-10 average, all-time average, course progress
• Course loop history when you finish the full course (days, time, average WPM)
• A "words to review" table from smart-word tracking
• A recent-session log you can scan or export

Free members keep up to 1,000 sessions. Premium history is unlimited. Guests still see per-line stats while practicing; those numbers are not stored after you leave.

Smart word selection (Premium)

Guest and free accounts get random word chunks from our curated word list — great for general practice. Premium members get performance-weighted selection, similar to our local desktop trainer:

• Words you miss appear more often until you type them cleanly.
• Slow words (even when correct) get extra weight so you build speed on trouble spots.
• Words below your recent average WPM are prioritized for review.
• Well-mastered words appear less often so practice time goes where it helps most.

The system tracks per-word correct counts, error counts, and a rolling speed average. Over time your word drills focus on weak vocabulary instead of repeating words you already know cold.

CSV export (Premium)

Premium members can download a spreadsheet of every saved practice session from the Account page or the Stats page. Free members see an Export CSV button that explains a Premium upgrade is required. Useful for:

• Tracking long-term progress in Excel or Google Sheets
• Building your own charts or sharing progress with a tutor
• Backing up your history outside the site
• Filtering by category to see which mode improved most

Each row is one completed practice line. Example format:

Open the file in any spreadsheet app, sort by date or WPM, and analyze trends over weeks or months — especially helpful if you practice regularly and want a permanent record.
